A strange human-bird hybrid undergoes continuous transformation under the pressure of economic, ideological, military, and climatic threat. Animated through automatic drawing – a direct discharge of unconscious imagery – the work moves along the edge between the sociological and the imaginary: a portrait of contemporary humanity torn between collective hysteria and its own inner chaos.
Disturbia has received 13 awards, including Best Animated Film and Best Director at the Vasil Gendov Awards, and has screened at 85 international festivals, among them BAFICI, SEE Fest Los Angeles, and the Dallas International Film Festival.
