RASSIM®, 2016

RASSIM® (Krassimir Krastev), born 1972 in Orehovitsa, Bulgaria, is one of the emblematic names of Bulgarian contemporary art.
His works are impressive and memorable. Whether he works in painting, drawing, video or installation, his works have an extremely strong concept and innovative approach.
His signature artistic series are: “Living matter and dead matter” (2015), “Oil painting” (2010), “Sea Black” (2009), “Organic painting” (2006), “Video stills painting” (2001), “Shut up & grow” (2001).
“Corrections” (1996-1998, two photographs and five video projections) is in the collection of The German Hygiene Museum in Dresden, Germany (2011) and in the Alain Servais Collection.

RASSIM® and Roi Vaara participate together again in the “GATEWAY I” exhibition, 19 years after the iconic 2004 exhibition in Bucharest “Shake the Limits”, National Museum of Contemporary Art, curated by Maria Rus Bojan.
